NHIA Data Collector

NHIA recently sent out an email letter regarding their NHIA DATA Initiative and the need for support from the entire home infusion industry.

There are three questions in the survey that are very time consuming to gather the data for, yet are very important for the survey to be successful.  Rock-Pond Solutions has worked with our customers to provide three reports that provide exactly what you need for the survey and according to people like Renee Hunt from Paragon Infusion and Shelley Cooley from Intramed Plus,

“We don’t know how we would have gotten this information without our Rock-Pond Reports!”

To support NHIA in this important DATA Initiative, Rock-Pond Solutions has developed an application you can install and quickly produce the following reports for the NHIA Data Initiative:

1) Revenue by Payer Class by Therapy

2) Patient Census by Age Group

The application will work with CPR+, HomecareNet from Healthcare Automation/Mediware, Ascend from Hanns On Software/Mediware, and Fastrack.

Existing Rock-Pond Reports Customers

If you are an existing Rock-Pond customer, you already have the reports and can run them immediatly:

  • Ascend Users
    • !as_1079 – Revenue for Primary Claims
    • !as_1080 – Therapy Count by Age Category
  • CPR+ Users
    • !c2_1314 – Revenue by Therapy / Payor Class
    • !c2_1315 – Therapy Count by Age Category – Single-Site Version
    • !c2_1315z – Therapy Count by Age Category – Multi-Site Version
  • HomecareNet Users
    • !ha_1082 – Revenue Analysis
    • !ha_1083 – Therapy Count by Age Category
  • Fastrack Users
    • !ft_1001 – Revenue by Therapy / Payor Class
    • !ft_1000 – Therapy Count by Age Category

Non-Rock-Pond Reports Customers

If you are not an existing Rock-Pond customer, you can download the stand-alone NHIA Data Collector which will allow you to view the reports for your system. Once downloaded, you will need to complete a very short registration form as well as connect the collector to your database, and then you’re ready to go! You may want to talk to your IT department about the following requirements:

The NHIA Data Collector accesses your system’s database on the SQL Server directly. You will need to know the following things:

  • Your SQL Server IP address or hostname and the name of the database that contains the information for your system.
  • If your SQL Server is setup to use “SQL Server Authentication”, you will need a username and password that has a minimum of read-only access to the database.
  • If your SQL Server is setup to use “Windows Authentication”, your network credentials must be given a minimum of read-only access to the database from within the SQL Server.

I recommend the IT department install the NHIA Data Collector and go through the setup and run the reports. When this is complete, they can forward you the above information so you can complete the setup and run the reports.

NOTE: If you have Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 installed, the collector will conflict. To resolve this, install Crystal Reports 2008 SP2, and then install the collector.

Click here to download the stand-alone NHIA Data Collector. Once downloaded, unzip the file and double click “Install NHIA Data Collector.exe” and you’ll be on your way!
