The following is an installation checklist taken from the Installation Guide. This will give you a high level understanding of what is required to install the MHA Business Solutions Center. Click on the Installation Guide link to the left to view the full installation guide for the pharmacy dispensing system you are using.
Below the checklist is a list of frequently asked questions. Click on a checklist item or FAQ to see the answer as well as a screenshot where applicable.
Installation Checklist
Download and install the required components. The installation and configuration of the MHA Business Solutions Center should be performed under administrative privileges.
- Install the required .NET frameworks and ensure that all security updates have been applied to them. A system reboot is generally required after installing a .NET framework.
- Install the Crystal Reports 2010 Runtime. This does NOT require a reboot.
- Install the MHA Business Solutions Center.
At the end of this step, you should have a new icon on the system’s desktop labeled “MHA Business Solutions Center”.
Now that all components are in place, the MHA Business Solutions Center must be configured. Before this can be completed, you must gather the following information from your local documentation:
Server address, database name, and authentication information to your Microsoft SQL Server CPR+ database. When specifying the authentication credentials for your CPR+ SQL Server database, the credentials must have a minimum of read only access to perform queries against the database. Data is never written to the CPR+ database nor is data ever altered.
The following will be provided to you by Rock-Pond Solutions:
- MHA Business Solutions Center security certificate file (PFX File).
- Your MHA Business Solutions Center member key.
- Your MHA Business Solutions Center username and password.
The MHA Business Solutions Center must be configured under administrative privileges. In the event that User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the target system, you must hold “Shift”, right-click “MHA Business Solutions Center”, and choose “Run as Administrator”. Once fully configured, the MHA Business Solutions Center can operate under a non-privileged account.
To verify the installation is complete, launch the product and check the following:
- Verify that the information in the Member Resource Center is displayed on the screen and select menu options on the top of the screen.
- Select the Drug Recall Alert System and verify that there is a list of drug recalls on the screen.
- Select the MHA GPO Reports and load one of the reports to make sure it is accessible and Microsoft Excel is available on the machine to load the report.
- Select Rock-Pond Reports and run any of the reports to make sure the connection to the database is working and the report loads.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The base MHA Business Solutions Center does not transfer any patient or other data from your pharmacy dispensing system outside of your firewall to Rock-Pond Solutions, MHA, Inc. or anywhere else, so all of your data is secure within your system.
One of the primary design goals of the MHA Business Solutions Center was to provide a way for members to have powerful analytical tools that could integrate their data and data from external sources without requiring them to compromise the security of their data. By installing the MHA Business Solutions Center inside your firewall, connected to your database rather than requesting that you transfer your data to an external database, this goal has been accomplished.
Future applications are being designed that will run within the MHA Business Solutions Center and provide services such as claim reconciliation and specialty pharmacy data reporting that will require certain data elements to be transferred outside of your network. These applications will be controlled by a separate license agreement which all participating pharmacies must execute.
It is a Microsoft Windows application that can be deployed on one or more standalone workstations, a centralized terminal server, or published utilizing third party software such as Citrix. The MHA Business Solution Center is compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Server 2000, 2003, 2008, and 2008 R2. There are no specific memory or space requirements.

The MHA Business Solutions Center is secured by a personalized SSL certificate, key, username, and password specific to each member. All internet based communication is encrypted using HIPAA compliant SSL technology.
Once the installation is complete, email mha@rock-pond.com with the name and contact information of the people’s machines where the MHA Business Solutions Center has been installed. A Rock-Pond Solutions trainer will contact these people to introduce them to the MHA Business Solutions Center and answer any questions they have.
