Microsoft Based Software Developer

If you are a motivated and dynamic Microsoft software developer who has a broad skill set and can pickup new technologies on the fly, than Rock-Pond Solutions wants YOU to be on its technology team.

You would be responsible for the development of desktop and web applications specifically for the Microsoft Windows operating system that will support Rock-Pond’s product offerings. You will report to and work very closely with Rock-Pond’s Chief Technology Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Development of desktop and web applications compatible with all modern versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system using the .NET framework.
• Technical documentation of development projects including tracking feature requests and bugs.
• Creation and presentation of application mock-ups for upcoming projects as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prefer candidates with BS or MS degree and at least 5 years of experience developing Web and Windows applications based on the Microsoft platform.

• A deep understanding of:
  • Visual Studio  2008 & 2010 as well as object-oriented design and its implementation in the .NET CLR versions 2.0 through 4.0 using Visual Basic and C#
  • Utilizing databases running on Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 as well as MySQL from within Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and WPF applications
  • Utilizing Crystal Reports .NET 2008 & 2010 from within Windows Forms and ASP.NET applications to support the viewing of previously developed reports
  • Installation and deployment techniques of Windows Forms and ASP.NET applications
• Strong communication skills are critical as the developer will be required to gather requirements, communicate alternatives, risks, and technical design
• Experience with SubVersion, PHP, Infragistics Controls are a plus
